Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cool Air box is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air.

Absolutely don’t complete here. It mounts on the truck nicely. My motor sounds great and for now I actually get 2 miles per gallon. The full two thumbs up for me.
i waited 6 weeks for the "in stock" item to show up! the the instructions were poor! nothing lined up on the airbox & the air intake tube is to long!

United StatesWell first off it took over a month to arrive. Then when it got here I had to cut the intake box because there was no way I could get the air filter on the assembly without damaging it. The filter is too big to just slip on the lip inside the box. So I had to cut down the side to put the filter and mounting pieces on together. Then putting it in the truck was another hour plus job and in doing so I had to drill mounting holes in the box to get it to hold onto the truck body. But after all was hooked up and finished I have noticed a slight increase in gas mileage and take off. I'm still not sure if I've noticed a big difference in sound like I thought would be. So I'm not sure if I would recommend this to a friend or not yet.. maybe after a week or so of it being driven I'll see if there is a significant change.
