Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cool Air box is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air.

I purchased this truck (2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Rumble Bee) & removed the K&N setup that was previously on it. I reinstalled the factory intake resonator along with a Valant closed box air intake & power core filter. I like the look of the Volant much better. I can’t tell really any difference in performance between the K&N vs the Volant. This truck is headed to some car shows after I get the engine bay cleaned & touched up. The Volant is a nice addition.
United StatesI like what you've done with the design, but, it caters to the street performance people only. I'm building my Power Wagon for offroad use and this without a snorkel just isn't going to work. I'll be calling you tomorrow, I didn't get a response through CS, to see if there is anything that can be done to remedy this.

United StatesInstalled mine on my 05 dodge ram Daytona package. Although I’m upset that stopped offering the snorkel to pull air from the hood scoop like the srt-10 rams. It still looks great in my engine bay.

United StatesThe system is overall good. I have a Borla cat bac on it with dual exhaust so it had sound prior to this system install. This system added cabin noise, but gave top end power and responsiveness. But if your looking for quiet not a good fit. If like how a big V8 sounds at top rpm, its a great fit for your ride. It adds to my ride's attitude. Also, the box looks great and fits perfectly. Easy to install in about 30 minutes. Nothing difficult to install here.
