Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cool Air box is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air.

You really get bad to good! The problem is that the tube from the throttle body to the air box does not have the right angle or bend on it to match up!!! So you have it on the throttle body is on but not really good and the rubber boot is stretched and twisted and does not look good! Also the bolts on the cover don't line up. You can get 4 out of the 5 because the last hole is a half a hole off!! This should be a 20-30 minute project but always takes an hour or more because you have to fit everything!! This is my 3rd or 4th one I have purchased 2 for 8.1 liters and 1 for 6.0 liter and they all ****** to put on!!!! YOU GUYS CAN DO BETTER!!!!
United StatesThe air intake is working great. Slight lower tone, great throttle response. Don't be surprised if items take over a month to get. They are custom built. but it is worth the wait. Also you may have to do a little modification if your truck is not stock. Don't hold that against volant. If your doing mods to your truck you should just know that even custom built items may still need some fine tuning. Love my cold air intake with scoop
United StatesTruck seems to run better with the new intake and throttle body spacer. My problem was with the installation of the intake. The mounting holes for the box didn't line up, requiring some massaging. I also had issues with the scoop installation, again a mounting hole issue. I have not had time to work on that further. Hopefully, I can get it installed soon, and see if it adds anything to the rest of the package. Would add another star if the scoop works.
United StatesThe Hose is angled weird so I have to use my old one which is working good this far.. but the scoop doesn’t fit anywhere around the bumper so I can’t use that.. other than that the truck is breathing better and acceleration improved a lot
United StatesI contact Mike Myers. I emailed him the pictures of it not fitting in December 2021 tha *** did not fit and he said he had sent it off to someone to look at it. I haven't heard. I would not recommend this company and would put online the response I recieved with my problems with no response back or remedy. To help other consumers to save their money and not to take of a chance of it not fitting like mine didnt with no one responsig back.

United StatesThe air intake worked greate. We should have done this years ago. The engine was so restricted before putting on the air intake. The engine doesn't sound like it has to work as hard, the rpms are lower, and there is much more power when needed.
