Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cool Air box is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air.

United StatesGives a nice growl to a 5,000 Lb SUV, picks up easier & helps on the low end. Now there’s an issue that needs to be addressed towards that breather ****** that you add the hose to that leads to the passenger side valve cover, it needs to be made better and ACTUALLY a good 3/8’s in diameter to accommodate that supplied hose. Had to shave it down a little to be able to fit it but it ended up getting some damage but did the best to hug hose on the ****** & hose clamped it on. No issues yet but I really hope no ****** mechanic tries putting his hand on it one day & ends up breaking that brittle ******.. Good intake overall but that ****** needs to be situated.
United StatesGood product. Workmanship of intake tube is the only complaint. Intake tube had rough edges and on throttle body side the two halves of the tube where uneven and rough. Rubber collar almost didn't sit right. Slight shaving and good. The pvc ****** on intake tube was the worst though. Not sized to hose provided and holes on it. Overall ok so far.
United StatesI didn’t like the fact I had to trim a LOT off of the breather ****** where the 3/8’s Hose goes from the passenger side valve cover to the intake hose, that sucker was to fit a 5/8’s hose, cut it a bit and put a hose clamp just to be on the safe side, but all in all I enjoy the system would eventually get one for my LM7 or another of these if I 4th Gen Swap
