Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cool Air box is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air.
This model includes a MaxFlow 5 Oiled Filter for improved performance with the comfort of oiled filtration technology for those looking for horsepower.
Very straight forward install. Had to improvise a little with the seal and mounting the CAI but money well spent. Everything bolted up well and I even notice the “whoosh” noise when accelerating lol ALSO noticed a slight mpg increase.

United StatesFairly simple install but u wish it came with longer hosing and better seals for the pipe to the box. Overall definitely a bump in power and better gas mileage.
United StatesAbsolutely love this intake on my 04 4runner, great noise under load and silent while cruising at low load and seemingly better mpg with my heavier tires. My setup seems to be quite rattely at peak torque but I put a few personal touches with the factory side scoop that could be the issue. The box and intake are two separate pieces, the intake sort of hovers in the box. Slightly worries the water concious driver in me. Also sits very close to the radiator fan.
