Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cool Air box is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air.
This model includes a MaxFlow 5 Oiled Filter for improved performance with the comfort of oiled filtration technology for those looking for horsepower.
The product is very high quality and more importantly to me easy to install for someone with significant nerve damage in their hands. Running well.
Seems like the box was really small… smaller than the stock box… I bought a one more than a few years ago,(for a Avalanche) and I was very surprised with how big the box was…
United StatesThe fit and finish or the air box is great. It fit perfect using stock mounting points. Suburban runs smoother but did not give as much power as hoped for. Overall worth the purchase if you can wait a month plus for the product. Benefit, it is CARB compliant.
