Volant air intake systems utilize a high-velocity venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed airflow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box. Volant's Cool Air box is larger than the factory unit and incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air.

My original intake tube had stripped threads for the hose barbs and the MAF wouldn’t fit, had to file it open and put some RTV sealant on the hose barb. Ended up with a running lean code. My warranty tube everything looked good until I tested my truck. Ended up with a running lean code again. Hooked up my leak detector and seen smoke coming out from the seam. When I filed down the flashing noticed low points at the seam. Will be fill in that up with some plastic epoxy. Not worth the price. Shouldn’t have to be doing extra work on an intake that cost this much. Will be looking for another intake that can accommodate a Donaldson filter.

The check engine light came on, they sent a new filter to try and fix the problem, still hade issues, I replaced the Mass air flow sensor with a new one. The check engine lights still came one, I put the old filter and filter box back in and so far the Check engine light has not come back. Costumer service was great, but the product was not worth it, unless you are getting a costume tune done.
Love this intake. Totally changed the performance on my Silverado. Added a nice throaty sound to the exhaust too. You can really feel that little bit extra power too. Totally worth it. Easy install whether you use the included instructions or not. My only suggestion is when you screw in the hose fitting, use a sealant on the threading. The polymer had an easy tendency to strip the threads which we corrected with some plumbers glue to seal the joint.

Definitely woke up my Truck. I installed it about a week ago. No engine lights. Love the sound and how fast it picks up speed. Prior to install my truck was somewhat sluggish…I’m happy with it, just hope it passes smog check in California w/o having to reinstall the OEM air filter.

Took a min to ship it but once I got it, the instructions were clear and simple to understand. The installation was easy and exactly like the instructions said. Would recommend to a friend.

I live in California, almost all aftermarket intakes are not emission compliant for visual SMOG. This intake is the best intake out of all the intakes as well. It runs smooth and clean. Worth every penny if you are going to upgrade.

The PowerCore filter is a huge upgrade, and around town it sounds great. Install was a peach. I experienced a loud drone at ~2k RPM, which meant cruising at 65-70 was painfully unpleasant for me. I was going crazy on the highway and lasted a week driving to work. I went back to stock. I respect the policy of no returns after install - I’m just sad my ears can’t handle the drone enough to run this product, as it works great. Might try the stock intake tube on Volant's box/filter. I like to tinker.
